Charitable functions

The Council offers competitive prices for hire of the both halls, with kitchen facilities, which enables hirers to use your own caterers. We have a free bar facility in the upper hall and disabled access to both the ground floor and first floor by way of a stairlift. There are toilet facilities on both floors.
The upper hall floor is sprung so is particularly good for dancing. A very good stage and facilities for changing making it an ideal location for theatre and/or musical performances. There is stage lighting and we are currently looking at the provision of an audio system for use in the upper hall.

ROOM CAPACITIES

The upper hall holds up to 180 people, although we advise hirers that is the absolute maximum and for comfort would suggest around 160. The lower hall will cater for around the same number but obviously again it depends on the type of function.

We can help you arrange your booking with session times being: 8am-5pm, 6pm-11.30pm
However. We have adopted a more flexible approach to hiring and are willing to book for periods from one hour upwards for non profit organisations, subject to availability.

OTHER INFORMATION

A deposit is required to secure all bookings with outstanding balances being due one month in advance. However, if the event is less that one month in advance the whole amount becomes due on booking.

To view any of the rooms in the Town Hall or if you would like to make a booking please contact Jill Johnstone on 01609-776718 or via e-mail: northallertontc@btopenworld.com

The office is open to the public at the following times. Monday to Thursday 9.30-2.30pm Friday 9.30-1.30pm

The Town Council holds all their meetings in the Town Hall and if you are a resident in Northallerton or work in the town you are welcome to attend. The Town Council holds its formal meeting on the third Monday of every month, except August, starting at 7pm. Again residents are entitled to attend these meetings and will be given the opportunity to speak if they so wish.

If you have a particular issue you wish to raise with your Ward representative the names and address can be found on this site (Councillors button) or by telephoning the Council office on the above number.
